Job Summary:
The Inventory and Procurement Associate is responsible for supporting accurate inventory management and procurement activities at Willis Custom Yachts. This position ensures that all parts are properly charged to work orders or processed through the point-of-sale system, while maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean inventory area. The role is vital in monitoring stock levels, performing cycle counts, and reporting any variances to maintain inventory integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist staff and vessel personnel with obtaining parts and charging them to the correct work order.
  • Support sub-contractors with parts purchases through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Perform cycle counts, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Check in and receive shipments from freight trucks and deliveries.
  • Organize and restock shelves, ensuring inventory is orderly and accessible.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping floors, breaking down boxes, and adhering to cleanliness standards.
  • Follow safety and environmental policies, including reporting accidents or spills immediately.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Inventory Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a marina or marine environment is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Basic computer proficiency.
    • Knowledge of marine systems is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
    • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to service and safety.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed in a marine and industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
  • Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the use of handcarts and dollies.
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary.

Schedule:
  • Full-time, 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday.

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt Hourly.
