Marine Technician
Job Summary:
A Marine Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on boats and marine vessels. This role involves diagnosing issues, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all marine systems function safely and efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of marine safety standards are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Installation of Steering and Controls
- Light Wiring
- Tower Bolt Downs
- Outrigger Installations
- Misc. Duties on boats as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must hold High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Electrical, mechanical, working with power tools,
- Skills:
- Read and write clearly and legibly.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Must have own tools.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Work is performed in a marine and industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
- Involves time spent in both an office setting and the boatyard.
- May involve working in confined spaces, at heights, or in awkward positions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary.

Schedule:
- Full-time, 10-hour day shift, Monday to Thursday.
- Overtime available.
